Dibert Everett, PA Tosha Dibert Everett, PA Show Photographer: Sunflower Photography PPEA Futurity 2003 -- Information * Entry must have at least one PHBA or PHA Registered Palomino Parent or be eligible for PHBA or PHA registry itself. * Owner & Exhibitor must be PPEA Member or PPEA Associate Member in good standing. * PHBA-eligible & PHBA registered entries must show in at least one PHBA-approved class at the show. * Entry may enter EITHER non-canter or canter Pleasure not both. Please Read Complete Rules & Entry Blank. 2003 Rules for PPEA Futurity 1. Exhibitor and owner must each be a member of PPEA in good standing. 2. Payment of $50.00 must be postmarked by July 31, 2003 to make colt or filly eligible for the 2003 PPEA Futurities. Post Entries postmarked on or before August 15th can be eligible for the futurities at a payment of $75.00. If payment is received after these dates, the fee will be $150.00 payable through 8:30 am the morning of the show. No post dated checks permitted. All entry fees must be received before horse is permitted to show. 3. The futurity halter classes will be split by sex, with separate classes run in conjunction with the PPEA August Palomino Show. The other futurity classes will not be split by sex. Entries must have either one PHBA (Palomino Horse Breeders of America) or PHA (Palomino Horse Association) registered parent, or the entry itself must be eligible for PHBA or PHA registration. 4. Horses shall not be able to cross-enter into canter and non-canter classes in the same show. 5. The futurity will be judged in one go-around on Sunday by all three Palomino judges. Scores of the three judges will be combined and the final placing determined. The Senior Judge (to be designated before the show starts) will serve as tie-breaker. 6. The purse for each class will be 95 % of all entry fees for that class (5% to be deducted for Futurity expenses) plus any added monies. The futurity will pay back through 5th place with the purse to be broken down as follows for five or more horses: 1st place ­ 40%, 2nd ­30%, 3rd ­ 15%, 4th ­ 10%, and 5th ­ 5%. In the event a class is not filled, the purse will be paid back as follows: Four horses ­ 45%, 30%, 15%, 10% Three horses ­ 50%, 30%, 20% Two horses ­ 60%, 40% One horse ­ 100% 7. PHBA eligible futurity horses must also show in at least one PHBA sanctioned class/day at the Futurity Horse Show.
